Los Angeles Lakers' star Kobe Bryant is on the Central Coast this week. But the five-time NBA champion is appearing at events that are closed to the media.
Bryant is holding his annual Kobe Basketball Academy this week at UC Santa Barbara. It opened on Wednesday and runs through Sunday. The kids camp is closed to the media this year.
Bryant will also visit with a few lucky fans at CRSVR, a shoe boutique in Santa Barbara on Thursday. Kobe will be there to promote his new private line, the K.O.B.E. Collection from Nike Sportswear. CRSVR is the only store in the nation that was selected for an exclusive release of Bryant's line. The collection will launch worldwide on August 1.
Fans wishing to take part in an exclusive Q&A session with Bryant in the afternoon will be allowed to start lining up at the store at 9am on Thursday. Kobe is scheduled to meet with fans at 3 pm in an event that is closed to the media.
The shoe boutique is located at 632 State Street in Santa Barbara.
