Koenig, Morrow lead Eagles to win at Righetti

The Arroyo Grande High girls volleyball team overcame three set points in the third set to complete a sweep over Righetti on Tuesday night. The Eagles beat the Warriors 25-13, 25-21 and 27-25 to stay undefeated in Pac 7 League play.

Millisa Morrow led the Eagles with a match-high 21 kills to go with 2 aces. Alyssa Koenig recorded 19 kills and 3 aces in her best-match of the season. Jade Fuller compiled 21 digs for AG, while sophomore Alaina Hogeboom dished out 41 assists.

The Eagles improved to 13-3 overall and 2-0 in league, while the Warriors dropped to 1-1 in league play and 4-3 overall.

The Warriors lost despite 14 kills from Brooke Butler, the reigning Northern Santa Barbara County Athletic Roundtable Female Athlete of the Week. Maddie Klusendorf added 8 kills and 15 digs. Michaela Olney led the Warriors with 18 digs.
