Krieghoff scores four goals as Mustangs cruise to win in Bakersfield

The Cal Poly women's soccer team is 2-0 after a 5-2 win in Bakersfield on Sunday night. Mustang sophomore Elise Krieghoff scored four goals in the non-conference win that follows a 3-0 win against Loyola Marymount on Friday. The loss drops the Roadrunners to 1-1.

Krieghoff scored in the 8th, 59th, 80th and 83rd minutes. The last three goals were scored after CSUB tied it with two early goals in the second half.

Krieghoff also scored in Friday's game.

Senior Kacey Held scored the Mustangs other goal on Sunday.

Cal Poly outshot CSUB, 22-13, and had nine shots on goal compared to the Roadrunners eight.

Sophomore Alyssa Giannetti earned her second win in net with six saves.

Cal Poly returns home on Friday for a game against Sacramento State. The Cal Poly men's soccer team plays its first game of the season on Friday at Drake.
