LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles firefighters responding to burning house in the San Fernando Valley discovered an indoor pot farm with up to 500 marijuana plants.

Police arrested at least one suspect early Saturday, who appears to be a resident of the home in the North Hills neighborhood.

In addition to the plants firefighters found an elaborate irrigation system inside the residence.

City News Service says authorities are trying to get a warrant that will allow police to search the rest of the home.
