LA police looking for man in freeway death case

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Police are searching for a 26-year-old man who is believed to have been driving a car that a woman jumped, fell or was pushed from before she was struck and killed on a Southern California freeway.

Los Angeles police want to question Ricardo Jimenez who is suspected of being behind the wheel of a car when Maria Jimenez was ejected from the passenger side Thursday. The two are not related and have an unspecified relationship.

Investigators believe the man had physically abused the woman before she died.

Josie Jimenez was struck by several vehicles after landing on Interstate 210. Her family was able to identify her body from her tattoos.
