LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles County sheriff's investigators say they have linked the murder of a 20-year-old woman who was found in 1995 to a missing person case from Central California.
Authorities said Thursday that tissue samples from an October 1995 murder match Gail Allen of Morro Bay who had gone missing. Allen's body was found in the Los Angeles suburb of Covina. She was listed as a Jane Doe until this past June when investigators made the link.
Investigators have reopened the murder case and are seeking the public's help in finding Allen's killer.
