Reports from KSBY News field crews and emergency radio traffic

  • 4:59 pm - Governor's office proclaims a state of emergency in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Francisco and Siskiyou counties.
  • 3:00 pm - San Luis Obispo Farmer's Market is cancelled due to rain
  • 1:55 pm - Las Flores Preschool in Santa Barbara closed until Monday due to power outage
  • 1:50 pm - Coast Guard reports two boats grounded on East Beach in Santa Barbara.
  • 1:14 pm - Southwest Airlines cancels dozens of flights at San Diego airport due to wind.
  • 12:37 pm - The Grapevine secion of interstate 5 is closed due to snow.
  • 12:21 pm - Highway 1 will be closed dusk to dawn- 9 miles north of Ragged Point Inn indefinitely due to erosion on the road.
  • 12:05 pm - CHP reports several vehicles over the side of the embankment on Hwy 1 north of Gaviota, no injuries reported
  • 11:52 am - Hearst Castle closed Thursday morning due to high winds - some damage to roof tiles. Will re-open Friday morning.
  • 11:45 am - Vehicle off the roadway into a ditch at Orcutt Rd. just south of Righetti Ranch
  • 11:41 am - Betteravia Road between Black Road and Mahoney Road closed in Santa Maria because of flooding. Drivers can take Maloney Road as a detour. Also closed - Cooley Lane at Thornburg Street and Black Road between Betteravia Road and Stowell Road.
  • 11:13 am - Crews repsonding to report of SUV stuck in flood waters in Los Osos at Palisades and Los Osos Valley Rd.
  • 11:00 am - 1.2 million PG&E customers without power in California
  • 10:52 am - CHP reports flooding on Hwy 1 between Callender Rd. and Sheridan Rd. in Arroyo Grande
  • 10:45 am - Car into tree at Hwy 1 just north of Colony Dr.
  • 10:40 am - Hwy 1 closed in Oceano due to flooding
  • 9:10 am - Possible tree into power lines at 1700 blk of Arbolado Ln in Paso Robles
  • 9:09 am - Guadalupe schools open today.
  • 8:44 am - Expect delays due to injury accident at Foothill and Santa Rosa in San Luis Obispo.
  • 8:31 am - PG&E reports 4300 customers without power in SLO County, 1000 of those are in the Cambria area. 1000 PG&E customers are without power in Santa Barbarba County.
  • 8:30 am - Power pole fire near Solvang on the 2600 blk of Quail Valley Rd.
  • 8:30 am - Vehicle accident on Hwy 101 near Atascadero just south of Santa Barbara Rd.
