New research reveals a link between epilepsy and migraine headaches.
A study of more than 700 epilepsy patients found migraines were much more common among those who had close family members with seizure disorders.
In fact, those who had three or more relatives with epilepsy were more than twice as likely to experience migraines.
Researchers say these results affirm that a specific gene or gene sequence cause both epilepsy and migraine.
