A local airman is greeted to a homecoming celebration after flying several missions in Iraq.

Brian Calcagno arrived in San Luis Obispo Monday evening after driving from Los Alamitos, where he is stationed in Southern California. He was one of three hundred soldiers arriving Monday with the 1-140th Aviation Battalion.

Calcagno was greeted to quite the party at the Graduate in San Luis Obispo. "It's amazing to have them here. When I came around the corner, my heart started beating, my adrenaline started racing, and it was quite a surprise having people here waiting for me and coming home," said Calcagno. He says he's going to stick around the area for a while, and start grad school at Cal Poly.
