Local business recognized by the White House

A local business is getting national attention after being mentioned by a White House blog for helping improve the local economy.

Meathead Movers was started by two brothers in San Luis Obispo when they were in high school about 15 years ago.

This isn't the first time Meathead Movers has been recognized by the White House. In 2011, the company was honored at a White House reception for working to improve the economy.

"We have a unique model where we hire student athletes, guys who are raised right by their families, and we're able to train them, motivate them, and provide leadership training where they're growing within our organization," said CEO Aaron Steed.

Steed is no stranger to the spotlight, as he has appeared on Chelsea Lately for Meathead Movers.

The company has won numerous awards in the last few years.
