Local businesses are racing against the clock Monday morning to build houses in Atascadero.

For just three hours, from 9 a.m. to noon, volunteers will compete to see which team can frame an entire house.

It's called Frame It Up and it's sponsored by the non-profit Peoples' Self-Help Housing.

Twenty-four families are building homes in the organization's El Camino Oaks subdivision in Atascadero.
