Whether it's "Green Eggs and Ham," "The Cat in the Hat" or "Horton Hears a Who," kids across the Central Coast will be catching up on some of Dr. Seuss' best-known stories in honor of his birthday. Dr. Seuss, or Theodore Geisel, would've been 106-years-old Tuesday. Each year, schools and community centers across the nation celebrate Read Across America Day to coincide with the legendary author's birthday.

Activities are planned at schools in the Santa Maria-Bonita School District, and at the San Luis Obispo County YMCA.

We'll have more on this throughout the day on KSBY.com, and on KSBY News at 5, 6 and 11.
