Local kids can get cash for their Halloween candy stash this year.
A handful of dentists across the Central and South Coasts have been buying back candy from kids for $1 a pound, and then the candy is sent to troops overseas through the non-profit, Operation Gratitude. So far, Operation Gratitude has sent 865,193 care packages to military troops.
