Local high schools ranked by U.S. News and World Report

Some Central Coast high schools are ranked among the best in California.

U.S. News and World Report's "Best High Schools" rankings were released Tuesday and published online.

Among high schools in California, Arroyo Grande High School ranked 124, followed by Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta at 125.

The report lists Coast Union High School at 165. Shandon High School ranked 169, and San Luis Obispo High School ranked 179. Santa Ynez Valley Union High School ranked 184. In California, the report ranked 398 high schools.
