A local jeweler pleaded not guilty to charges against him in a San Luis Obispo County courtroom Tuesday morning, according to the district attorney's office.

Last month, detectives took William "Mac" McBurney of All That Glitters in San Luis Obispo, into custody. The arrest stemmed from a burglary back in March. Detectives say a ring that was stolen from a car was found at the jewelry store a month later.

McBurney is charged with receiving stolen property, delaying an investigation, and running a second-hand business without a license. He denies the accusations and plans to take legal action.
