Local 5th and 6th graders compete against students nationwide on Wednesday morning, but they don't have to travel very far.
Branch Elementary School students are participating in their first "Skype Math Bowl."
They will challenge the top math minds in the country through the Internet.
The Cal Poly Architecture department is letting the kids use their computer lab to make the event a "dream come true."
