A group of Central Coast kids are getting a lot of attention on YouTube.
Gabe and Daniel are nine-years old and the creators of Kidz Reelz. Along with their friends, they create public service announcement videos. The videos are intended to spread positive messages of anti-bullying and child abuse.
"It is made by kids for kids," said Gabe.
They were originally inspired by a Disney channel show, "Friends for Change," so they set out to make a change in their own community.
Their first video is a montage of photos taken in their backyard. They contacted the singing group, A-ha to use their song "Did Anyone Approach You?" They are learning now to shoot video and will be making more videos soon.
Gabe's mother, Monique, monitors the creative process. She ensures that the kids ask permission for videos, songs and get parent consent before appearing in the videos.
"Everyone should monitor their kid's online activity," said Monique.
The kids hope their videos will inspire more kids to create positive videos.
