Local moms showcase their baking skills in Idler's Mom and Apple Pie contest

Some local moms showcased their baking skills as part of the 27th annual Idler's Mom and Apple Pie contest.
Saturday was the first of three preliminary rounds. The pies are judged on appearance, crust, flavor and texture. The top pies will go on to compete at the Home Show in Paso Robles in a couple of weeks.
Celebrity judges helped decided which pie reigns supreme, including KSBY's own John Reger.
The grand prize is a $2,000 KitchenAid convection range.
