A local non-profit organization will be featured in a women's magazine for "doing good" in the community.

Lisa Ray's Donation Group helps disadvantaged children locally. The organization collects donated school clothes and supplies for local families. It will have a spot in the August edition of Woman's World magazine for its "Do Good" story. Lisa Ray says the idea came to her after a mom asked her for help. "It just started with helping one mom in need who couldn't afford backpacks, school supplies, or clothing for her children two years ago," said Ray.

Since then, Ray said the organization has helped about 2,500 children and families on the Central Coast.
