Several physicians from the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara have published research in leading science and medicine journals.
* Dr. Daniel Greenwald's research focused on new ways to deliver anticancer drugs into tumors, while reducing potential damage to healthy tissues.
* Dr. Warren Suh contributed to a study that looks at making radiation therapy more effective with implantable devices that release biologically active drugs.
* And Dr. Fred Kass took part in a study that examined how three subtypes of breast cancer, including the newly recognized triple negative breast cancer, responded to neoadjuvant treatment.
The Cancer Center of Santa Barbara said its mission is not only be a comprehensive outpatient cancer treatment center, but also to be on the front lines of cancer research.
