Pope Francis has cleared two of the 20th Century's most influential popes to become saints.
On Friday, the Pontiff approved to canonize Pope John Paul II and he even waived Vatican rules to declare Pope John XXIII a Saint.
KSBY met up with a local priest to learn more about what this means.
"He was consistent in practicing what is good, and there are processes. You start with venerable, beautified and then Sainthood. Usually for Sainthood, you have to declare two miracles to be a Saint. Two miracles, two things that aren't explainable by science," said Father Lane.
A ceremony is expected before the end of the year, possibly in early December.
