Local school bus driver arrested on charge of possession of meth for sale

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit officers arrested 31-year-old April Nunez of Nipomo on Thursday.

She was driving a Lucia Mar Unified School District bus at the time, but no children were on board.

Sheriff's officials say detectives found a small amount of methamphetamine, a scale and packaging materials consistent with the sale of meth in Nunez's personal car.

They say she was also carrying approximately $1,200 in cash.

Nunez was booked into County Jail on a charge of possession of methamphetamine for sale.

Investigators do not believe she was selling drugs to children.
