With songs like, "A Picnic on the 405" and "Chuck Norris' Tears Cure Cancer," John Craigie is making a name for himself in folk music.
He's been compared to Arlo Guthrie, John Prine and even Bob Dylan.
Of his own work, Craigie says, "I am pretty much a lyric snob. When i am listening to music, it's the lyrics that are really going to grab me first and foremost."
This week, you have two chances to catch his act.
Tuesday night, he takes the stage at SoHo in Santa Barbara, opening for Aiofe O'Donovan before traveling north for a gig on Friday night at D'Anbino Vineyards & Cellers in Paso Robles.
