This weekend, a classic musical takes the stage at Cuesta College.
The cowardly lion, tin man, scarecrow, and Dorothy will start from there and head to the land of Oz with some munchkins pointing the way.
"I think it's one of those shows that is just forever engraved in our brain and even though it incorporates songs, it's really the characters that we've fallen in love with and the story," says Director Erik Austin.
Director of the children playing the munchkins, Joe Ogren, says, "When Dorothy arrives on that yellow brick road and we see all those children who are so ready to show their stuff, I think people will have the best time."
"I think the story is a great story because it's all of us going on a journey to discover... To try to find some magic or to discover something about ourself, but what we learn in the long run is that we've had it all along," says Austin.
The "Wizard of Oz" is handing out those jewels of wisdom for just two weekends at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo.
