Six athletic teams from Nipomo High School are raising money by growing pumpkins and selling them to the public this fall.
The student-athletes, parents and coaches from the teams worked over the summer to plow the fields, plant the seeds, pull the weeds, and harvest the pumpkins. They'll split the proceeds equally.
They say Carl Holloway allowed them to use his land for free.
