KSBY has been helping ‘Stuff the Bus' for a little more than a week now, and one local teacher wants to let everyone know just how much the donations mean to local classrooms.
Linnae Coiner teaches math at Pacific Beach High School in San Luis Obispo. She doesn't allow pens in the classroom because she says students need to be able to erase their equations, so they go through more than 1,000 pencils a year in her classroom alone! But Coiner says because of ‘Stuff the Bus,' she didn't have to order any pencils last year, and the savings really add up.
"Everything you see on the wall in [my classroom] was purchased by me," said Coiner. "I'm keeping Border's in business with how many books I'm buying over there, math books for the classroom. We spend a lot of money."
Coiner says she wants everyone to know teachers and students really appreciate the support.
