Ten different races were run at the CIF State Cross Country Meet in Fresno on Saturday Morning. Three teams and three individuals from the Central Coast qualified for one of the five divisions for boys and girls.
In the Division-2 boys race, Arroyo Grande finished 12th out of 22 teams. Westlake was the team winner with 84 points, the Eagles had 328 points. Arroyo Grande was led by senior Jonathan Corley (16:16) who placed 52nd. The individual winner was Dos Pueblos senior Bryan Fernandez who clocked a time of 15:09. As a team, Dos Pueblos finished fourth.
In Division-3 for the boys, Paso Robles finished 10th out of 23 teams. The Bearcats scored 253 points, St. John Boscoe won with 70 points. Paso Robles senior Aidan Farrell finished 42nd.
Two individuals from the Los Padres League participated in the Division-4 race. Santa Ynez senior Jacob Carey finished 16th with a time of 16:10. Morro Bay sophomore Austin Lay was 59th, clocking a time of 16:54. Daniel De La Torre from LaSalle won with a time of 15:30.
San Luis Obispo senior Micayla Rennick competed in the Division-3 girls race. Rennick finished 29th with a time of 19:01. Sydney Segal from Beverly Hills finished in 17:40 for the win.
The St. Joseph girls finished 15th out of 22 teams in Division-5. Junior Beth Rigali had the best finish for the Knights, Rigali was 16th out of 184 runners.
The boys and girls races were five kilometers.
