Hundreds of people went to a local winery's fundraiser today in San Luis Obispo for a cause.

The Cerro Caliente Cellars hosted the Lukemia and Lymphoma society's team is training event.

They train people how to race in half or full marathons, and in exchange for the training they raise money for blood cancer research. Tasty deserts, wine tastings, and a silent auction were at the event. Between four to five hundred people participate every year.

"We have a team of 70 training for the Nike Women's Marathon up in San Francisco, we have several legacy participants on this team that, this will be there 8th year participating," said Barbara Saia, Senior Campaign Manager.

They are helping people train for the upcoming Santa Barbara half marathon and the Honolulu full marathon.
