The 4th Annual San Luis Obispo County "Walk With Us to Cure Lupus" event kicks off with a Night at the Castle.

The fundraiser is being held at Eagle Castle Winery in Paso Robles Thursday, September 16, from 6-8 p.m.

There will be wine tasting, appetizers, raffles and a silent auction.

Tickets are $25 with 100 percent of the event's proceeds going directly to lupus research.

Lupus is a chronic and deadly auto-immune disease in which a person's immune system attacks the body's organs.

According to the Alliance for Lupus Research, 9 out of 10 patients are women.

This year's walk is being held at Atascadero Lake Park on Saturday, November 6.
