A hearing location has been chosen for the 11 people charged in the murder of Anthony Ibarra.
Darrell Parker with the Santa Barbara County Superior Courts says the pre-trial hearings will be held at the juvenile center courtroom in Santa Maria.
Because there are 11 defendants, 11 defense attorneys and a prosecution team all in one courtroom, some of the defense attorneys were concerned courtrooms at the Santa Maria Courthouse were not large enough to accommodate everyone.
Parker says the juvenile center courtroom was chosen because it is a larger facility, but if the case does go to trial, another location could again be chosen.
Ibarra's body was found in the back of a U-Haul truck parked on an Orcutt street in March.
Police believe he was tortured for hours before finally being stabbed to death.
The next arraignment hearing is set for Sept. 12.
