Lompoc burglary investigation leads to 3 arrests; firearms still missing

A burglary investigation in Lompoc led to the arrest of three people this week, but police say firearms are still missing.

Lompoc police say several firearms were stolen during a burglary that happened a few weeks ago at a Lompoc home.

After an investigation, detectives searched a home in Vandenberg Village Thursday and found three of the stolen firearms, according to police

Matthew Baker, 44, was arrested for an outstanding warrant, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of stolen property.

A woman at the home, Bianca Lauwers, 31, was arrested for violation of probation and allegedly being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Police say further investigation revealed Juan Antonio Barajas, 36, was the person allegedly responsible for the burglary. He was arrested for residential burglary and felon in possession of a firearm.

All three were booked into jail. Lauwers is being held without bail because of her alleged probation violation. Baker's bail is set at $55,000 and Barajas's bail is $50,000.

Police believe the three may have committed other burglaries or thefts and ask anyone with information to contact the department at (805) 736-2341.
