Lompoc city officials will dedicate a project that's 20 months in the making.
The Lompoc Regional Wastewater Reclamation Plant has been upgraded and is ready for use. The wastewater plant treats water flows for Lompoc, Vandenberg Village and Vandenberg Air Force base.
The more than $83 million project includes a new emergency generator and landscaping.
Tuesday's dedication ceremony begins at 10:00a.m. at the plant, which is located on the 1800 blk. of W. Central Ave. in Lompoc.
