Lompoc DUI checkpoint nets six arrests

Lompoc Police Officers say they arrested six people during a weekend DUI checkpoint.

That checkpoint was held on Saturday, May 22nd on the 1000 blk. of E. Ocean Ave. Two people were arrested for driving without a license and four were arrested for driving on a suspended license. Fourteen drivers were evaluated for DUI, and officers say all of them had been drinking and driving but were under the legal limit.

A total of 475 vehicles passed through that checkpoint.
