The Los Angeles Times released its preseason Top 25 rankings for Southern California high school football teams.

Two-time defending CIF champion Lompoc is ranked 19th in the region. The Braves went 14-0 in 2011 and return several key players, including Washingotn-bound running back Lavon Coleman, Ainuu Taua, Taylor Cornejo and kicker Jose Morales.

Santa Margarita is ranked #1 in the poll, followed by Vista Murrieta, Servite, Alemany and Tesoro.

The LA Times also included an article on Lavon Coleman, described by writer Eric Sondheimer as one of the best running backs in California. To read the article, click here.
