People in Lompoc Thursday night honored the survivors of domestic violence.
It happened at Centennial Park and was part of a series of remembrances across the nation for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The night started with a march and ended with a candlelight vigil and ceremony.
"We want people to aware that it is a serious issue in our community, in our country, and we want to do everything we can to say no more," said domestic abuse victim advocate Cozetta Blow
Another domestic violence awareness march will be held Monday at 6 P.M. at Santa Maria City Hall.
From there, a march will be led to Santa Maria High School where there will another candlelight vigil.
