A Lompoc man is facing charges of DUI and felony child endangerment.
It happened on the 1800 block of Berkeley Drive in Lompoc Thursday.
50-year-old Ronald Day asked a 10-year-old family member to drive for him.
The boy fell out while driving and was run over.
Day did regain control of the vehicle, but not before the ten year old boy's torso was run over.
The boy was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.
Day's blood alcohol content was double the legal limit when he was arrested.
