Lompoc police arrest man after hours-long standoff

A Lompoc man is facing a long list of charges after a standoff with police on Sunday. Officers arrested Leonel Hernandez, 23, 5 1/2 hours after they were called to his home on the 200 block of North O Street. Police say Hernandez barricaded himself inside the house after getting into an argument with a neighbor and breaking the windows on the man's car. Police say Hernandez also threatened the man with a gun. He faces charges of attempted murder, criminal threats, felony vandalism, felony threats to police, brandishing a firearm, and possession of a firearm with the serial number removed.
