Lompoc police are looking for the driver who struck and killed an older man early Wednesday morning.
Police Chief Larry Ralston said the man's body was found at the intersection of College and "I" streets about 6 a.m. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Chief Ralston said it was unclear if the victim had been in the crosswalk at the time he was hit.
Investigators believe the vehicle involved in the crash was driving eastbound on College. They spent the day contacting local businesses to see if any of them have video of the incident.
The victim's identity is not being released until officials have notified all his family members.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Lompoc police.
