Lompoc Police to make announcement about January murder case

The Lompoc Police Department says it has an announcement about its investigation into a homicide that happened in January.

Lompoc Police Captain Larry Ralston says there are major developments in the shooting murder of Ysidro Madera. That happened on January 20th, on the 200 blk. of North K St. Madera was taken to the hospital that night, where he died from his injuries.

Police officers say multiple people were seen running from the area just after the shooting.

Officers are making the announcements to the media Thursday afternoon.
