An inmate who escaped from a minimum-security area of the federal prison in Lompoc Friday is back behind bars, according to officials at the Lompoc prison. Officials say Jeffrey Kilbride, 48, from Venice, was back in custody around 4 p.m. Saturday. He was discovered missing at around 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Prison officials say Kilbride was serving a 78-month sentence for conspiracy and fraud. Before his escape, Kilbride was due to be released on December 11, 2015. There are 446 minimum security male inmates at the Federal Correctional Complex in Lompoc.
