Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce E. Dudley announced Monday that Alicia Ann Gilbert, 32, from Los Olivos was arraigned and charged on June l for a DUI after injuring two bicyclists.
On March 15, 2012, Gilbert allegedly drove her S.U.V. into a pack of eight bicyclists on Foxen Canyon Road in Los Olivos, striking two of them.
Gilbert was filed for the following charges: Driving under the iníluence of a drug and causing bodily injury to another, failing to provide accurate infomation at the scene of an accident, child endangerment, false personation of another, and driving with a suspended license. Bail was set at $200,000.
One victim suffered arm and leg fractures, and the second victim suffered a coma and remains unrepsonsive.
Ms. Gilbert had her 8 month-old child in the car when the incident occurred.
