(WMTV) A Madison, Wisconsin family says their pet pooch ran away four years ago and since that time they nearly gave up hope after searching all over for the pet.
By coincidence, "Lucky" showed up on TV as the Pet of the Week in a Humane Society segment.
As you can imagine, Lucky's family was ecstatic they had finally found their long lost pet.
"Well, I was kinda amazed actually, 'cause we've been looking for years. I mean he's been in the newspaper. I've been in every pound," said owner Gregg Mohler.
The Iowa County Humane Society chose to feature Lucky as Pet of the Week because he's 14 years old, what's considered a "senior pet adoption."
As you can imagine, senior pets are the least likely to be adopted.
"Lucky", however, is living up to his name.
