Major injury accident on Highway 46 near Shandon

The California Highway Patrol is on the scene of a major injury accident in Northern San Luis Obispo County.

CHP dispatchers say it happened just before 6 p.m. Friday on Highway 46, just east of McMillan Canyon Road, near Shandon. They believe at least two vehicles are involved and witnesses have reported that at least one person may be trapped inside a vehicle.

The CHP says the collision is blocking the eastbound lanes. We will continue to keep you updated here on KSBY.com and tonight on KSBY News at 10 on the CW 5 and KSBY News at 11.
