Safeguarding California's coastline from disastrous oil spills is the focus of an executive order Acting Governor Abel Maldonado will sign this morning in Goleta.
The Executive Order will address the state's oil spill contingency plans and blow out prevention practices.
Maldonado led the official state delegation to bring environmental and economic resources to the Gulf of Mexico after the recent BP oil spill.
