Man accidentally triggers boat emergency device, prompting helicopter search

If you were near Morro Bay or Los Osos early Saturday you may have seen a helicopter circling. The Harbor Patrol says it was looking for a boat in distress. Turns out the boat's occupant accidentally triggered an emergency device while it was on land.

Harbor Patrol says the owner of the boat quickly realized his mistake and alerted authorities. The search ended a short time later.
