The man accused of killing two pedestrians in a horrific car crash is out on bail.
Nineteen-year-old Jerardo Iriarte is charged with vehicular manslaughter and gross negligence.
Just before 8 a.m. Saturday officers say he crashed through a fence from southbound Highway 101, onto Price Street.
Two pedestrians, Bruce and Marjorie Mallin, were hit and killed.
A hotel employee who witnessed the incident says Iriarte was arguing with his 17-year-old girlfriend just moments before the crash.
People who live nearby say it was a sad day for everyone involved.
"We feel sorry for the kid also, because he has to live with this for the rest of his life, and we feel very sorry for the people that were killed," said Eva Ryzevol.
According to their blog, the Mallins spent the last two years on the road in their RV but their family lives in Tumwater, Washington.
The two were looking forward to walking from the RV Park to the Clam Festival Saturday morning.
