The Los Osos man charged in the death of his wife has been released from jail on the condition he will see a mental health professional tomorrow.

George Taylor, 86, was in court on Thursday, where he waived his right to a preliminary hearing. He is expected to enter a plea when he is back in court on December 19. In the meantime, he will be under the care of his daughter.

Taylor is charged with aiding, advising, and encouraging suicide in the death of his wife, Gewynn Taylor, 81, on Monday. Park rangers found her body in a car near Spooner's Cover in Montana de Oro. George Taylor was also in the car and was injured, but investigators have not said how.

Deputies said Gewynn's death may have been the result of a suicide pact.
