Man accused of kidnapping infant to be arraigned

An Arroyo Grande man, accused of kidnapping an infant, will hear the charges against him.
Eighty-two-year-old, Peter Hewitt, is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning. Police say Hewitt took a child away from its mother earlier this month at the Vons parking lot on West Grand in Grover Beach.
Investigators say, the mother and her child met Hewitt at church, and had been staying with him. Neighbors say Hewitt was simply protecting the child.
