A reckless driver leads California Highway Patrol officers on a high-speed chase down Highway 101.

Officers received reports of a driver weaving in and out of traffic on Southbound Highway 101 in Atascadero Wednesday afternoon.

When a CHP unit caught up with 53-year-old Charles Boyler near the Cuesta Grade, he refused to stop and sped up to between 90 and 100 miles per hour.

Officers finally stopped him just south of Los Osos Valley Road.

He took a couple of swings at officers as he got out of the car and was then arrested.
