A Santa Maria man is behind bars after being on the run for more than a month.
Santa Maria Police took 23-year-old Santiago Alvarez into custody for attempted murder, Sunday. They say he was one of a group of people who stabbed a victim on July 28th.
Days after the stabbing, they also arrested another suspect, Vino Martin.
Police believe the stabbing is gang-related.
Alvarez was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail.
Bail is set at $1-million dollars.
